At Bainada Adarsh Vidya Mandir School, in the Dausa district of Rajasthan, the Foundation created classrooms, built new toilets, repaired the main school gate and installed ceiling fans for ventilation. The school’s request was to hopefully alleviate discomfort for students who are trying to focus on their lessons.
Since the Foundation improvements, school population has increased dramatically, to about 400 students from the very few who attended when the school first opened. There has been a corresponding increase in the number of students eventually graduating, illustrating greater access to education for many more local families.
Thanks to Educational Exchange visits arranged by the school, the students have enjoyed interacting with people from their community and abroad. They have even received donations of supplies and gifts from visitors.

Ideas for Further Involvement:
This location is a public school and cannot receive cash donations without creating a vulnerability for the community. We are working on a way for people who visit the school to actively participate in its further development.
