Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka has made significant progress in areas of education, infrastructure, and public health. With a population of roughly twenty-three million the nation has worked to increase resources for education and has a literacy rate of over 90%.
Local Challenges:
The gaps between rural and urban are present. Resources to update the curriculum and technology are still in needed. Further, during economic crises there have been limited funding allocations.
Government Initiatives:
In mid 2025, the Ministry of Education introduced its plan to Transform Education within Sri Lanka. They have also increased funding and developed a National Education Policy Framework
Our Impact:
It was not until 2024 that we were able support a school project within Sri Lanka. Our projects are targeting rural gaps in gender and academic attainment. We are thankful for our community partners who have helped with this project from inception to completion. Select the project below if you’d like to know more.
