Nepal

Nepal has a population of almost thirty million and has a median age of twenty-five years. As well, the unique landscape means that Nepal has over half of the world’s highest mountaintops.

Local Challenges:

Nepal has achieved high enrollment and is seeking to make improvements in rural-urban disparity and proficiency gaps. Additionally rural schools face shortages of teachers and technology.

Government Initiatives:

The President Ramchandra Paudel included education as part of the national agenda for Social Justice and Human Capital. The Nepalese Government has invested in a mid-day meal program designed to improve attendance. Thanks to the participation of teachers and educators in April, 2025, an additional funding allocation was awarded in June, 2025.

Our Impact:

We are fortunate to have partnered with two schools in Nepal. One had to be completely rebuilt after an Earthquake. The second is a new partner as of 2025 and is still under construction. These projects seek to improve access to digital materials, teacher resources, and modern infrastructure. We are especially thankful for the work of Basant Raj Mishra and his family.
