Kenya

As of 2025, Kenya has a population of almost sixty million. Their diverse population, rural communities, and unique landscape contribute to the strength of the nation.

Local Challenges:

The literacy rate is at 82% and the pattern of gender disparity and access to resources for rural areas is still present. The pattern is also present in healthcare outcomes, and programs targeting health equity, education access, and gender equality are underway.

Government Initiatives:

The current government has made sweeping reforms geared towards addressing health outcome disparity and to improve educational outcomes. This is clear by the numbers, as Education received the largest allocation of the national 25/26 budget. The Education System has been transitioning towards a competency-based framework and while challenging has shown promise and progress.

Our Impact:

Our first project within the Nation of Kenya is a small community focused primary school. We began the project in 2024, and the school has already expanded to include the 3rd Grade and is providing support to the local community. It is an involved neighborhood, and we are so thankful that the school has so many great people helping out. Select below for more information specific to this project.
