New Hope Waves

New Hope Waves Primary is part of a nonprofit organization in Livingstone, Zambia and was founded in 2019. Before it was a school, New Hope Waves was a social service organization working to end childhood-homelessness. They sought to improve the health, wellness, and education of local children. Their comprehensive approach to community engagement also includes operating a soccer/football club. 

The Zambian Ministry of Education’s is making great efforts to improve access to education. They’ve recently eliminated school fees and enrollment has been growing. The growth has put pressure on schools to make room for new students. 

Their project will include two new classrooms, an office, storage space, and a shaded veranda. We are also building new lavatories, toilets, and necessary plumbing. A water pump and storage will be set up as well. Lastly, this community will have access to reliable electricity generated through solar power. We are so happy to be collaborating with New Hope Waves and the surrounding community.
